Day 1

ARRIVAL IN BANGKOK

Welcome to Thailand! Upon arrival at Bangkok Airport, one of our representatives will be there to meet you and show you to your coach transfer. Travel to your hotel (unaccompanied) for check-in and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

OVERNIGHT STAY IN BANGKOK.

Day 2

BANGKOK AT LEISURE (BREAKFAST INCLUDED)

Spend the entire day exploring Bangkok at your own pace, as there is no set itinerary today. However, if you’re keen to do some sightseeing, you can book onto an optional tour. We’d recommend doing a half day tour of the most popular landmarks of the area such as the Royal Grand Palace. Used as a royal residence from the 18th century to the mid-20th century, it is one of Thailand’s most visited monuments and also home to the sacred temple of Wat Phra Kaew. Inside, you can find the famous Emerald Buddha Statue.

Day 3

BANGKOK AT LEISURE

Today you’ll be able to explore the city at your own pace again, as there is no set itinerary. Bangkok is an eclectic, vibrant hub – there’s so much to see and do so we recommend picking out a few things you didn’t manage to do the day before and crafting a day’s itinerary around those.

Day 4

FULL DAY TOUR OF ANCIENT AYUTTHAYA WITH OVERNIGHT TRAIN JOURNEY (BREAKFAST INCLUDED)

Tuck into a hearty hotel breakfast and then check out, making your way to the province of Ayutthaya – Thailand’s former capital for around 417 years and located 76 kilometres north of Bangkok. During this tour, you’ll get to see some of the area’s main sights and delights: Wat Sri Sanphet – a monastery used as a presidential palace when King Ramathibodi I reigned. Wat Phananchoeng – another monastery that dates all the way back to before Ayutthaya was even founded. Wat Yai Chaimongkhol – a monastery boasting one of the largest chedis, built by King Naresuan. Bang-Pa-In – the former summer residence of the royals, a great example of traditional Thai architecture. You’ll be dropped off at Ayutthaya train station in the evening and take the overnight train to Chiang Mai (unaccompanied).

Day 5

ARRIVAL IN CHIANG MAI (BREAKFAST AND WELCOME SET MENU DINNER INCLUDED)

You’ll reach Chiang Mai train station at around 07:15 and a driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Upon arrival, leave your luggage with the hotel’s front office and have some breakfast at a food exchange restaurant. You’re free to do as you please up until 2pm which is when you’ll be able to check in.

Please note: Early check-in (i.e. before noon) is not included.

OVERNIGHT STAY IN CHIANG MAI

Day 6

DAYTIME TREK IN CHIANG MAI (BREAKFAST AND LUNCH INCLUDED)

After having breakfast at the hotel, head off via local truck or van to the area of Mae Win where you’ll commence your trek. Walk for an hour and a half to a waterfall and spend some time swimming and relaxing – after which, you’ll head to Karen Village for a tasty lunch at a local restaurant. Then, go bamboo rafting along the Mae Win River for about an hour (dependent on water levels). In the late afternoon, head back to your hotel via local truck/van.

Please note: You’ll travel by local truck/van with an English-speaking guide. Itinerary can be changed/modified depending on weather conditions. We recommend bringing comfortable, non-slippery walking shoes, as well as protective, water-resistant bags so that any electronic devices don’t get wet during trekking/rafting. It’s also advisable to bring a swimsuit, towel, sunglasses, mosquito repellent and any personal medication you might need.

Day 7

CHIANG MAI – KRABI – KOH LANTA (BREAKFAST INCLUDED)

Have breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Chiang Mai Airport to board your flight to Krabi (airfare not included). Upon arrival in Krabi, head to Koh Lanta to check in to your hotel.

Day 8

KOH LANTA AT LEISURE (BREAKFAST INCLUDED)

Enjoy a full day of leisure in beautiful Koh Lanta. Our local representative is on hand to give you recommendations for structuring your day (by request only) but we definitely suggest trying out some of the best dive spots. The area boasts an intricate system of reefs, islets and underwater caves, teeming with colourful sea creatures for you to ogle.

Then, cap off your day with some mouthwatering fresh seafood – some of which will surely get taste buds tingling with its spicy flavours.

Day 9

KOH LANTA AT LEISURE (BREAKFAST INCLUDED)

You can spend today at leisure too. Whether you’re sampling delectable seafood, sunbathing on the shore or trying out other dive sites in search of kaleidoscopic marine life, make sure you take some time out to appreciate the heavenly surroundings of Koh Lanta.

Day 10

KOH LANTA – PHUKET (BREAKFAST INCLUDED)

After having breakfast at the hotel, you’ll transfer from Koh Lanta to Phuket by coach. Upon arrival there, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
